Feeling Nervous About Botox for the First Time? You’re Not Alone!
If you’re nervous about getting Botox for the first time, you’re definitely not alone! I completely understand—I’ve been there myself. If you’re one of my clients, you’ve probably heard my first-time Botox story, and trust me, those nerves are completely normal and expected.
For many first-time Botox clients, the most common areas of concern are forehead lines and the “11’s” (the lines between your eyes). These areas are typically treated with 10-16 units for forehead lines and 14-20 units for the 11’s. While hearing that these two areas may require 24-36 units in total can be intimidating, it’s actually a standard and safe dosage to achieve a natural-looking result.
The range in Botox dosages depends on several factors since everyone’s anatomy is different, and each client’s treatment goals may vary. When I treat a first-time Botox client, I always take three important features into consideration:
- Forehead Height: Is your forehead short or tall?
- Wrinkle Depth: How deep are your wrinkles?
- Eye Anatomy: Do you have hooded or deep-set eyes?
These factors help me determine the right Botox dosage, product type, and injection placement to achieve the best results for you.
Additionally, I always recommend a follow-up appointment for first-time clients. This gives us a chance to review your results, discuss any questions or concerns, and make adjustments if needed.
